man most people who drive suvs swear theyre 24-7 with the family and i always see them driving around on their own i dont know if i buy that idea of em family folk,

seriously if they buy a stupid suv for family day once a month and the rest of the week drive solo to work everyday its kind of a stupid argument.. or then you have those that go all out 4x4 etc "just in case" even the inventor of the suv (land rover) rather drive a mini those things are so overrated, im not gonna get to ugly or what not theyre simply not sporty why do some people need to be reaffirmed by some stupid monster truck, i think gas prices should free float like in the rest of the world where its above 5 dollars a gallon because thanks to ignorant people who insist on a huge car the US is so deeply dependent on imports that china is going to have a stronger GDP -basically take over as the no 1 country in the world in about 8 years, because of all the lobbying to keep the stupid people happy like promise cheap gas to win elections or the the tax kickbacks for suvs a couple years back did that make sense? how many freeloaders bought hummers at the govts expense?

and thats truly sad people say if we can afford the gas let us be, because that kind of stupid policy is driving america down, oil everywhere else costs over 5 dollars a barrel and the Us imports all the oil arent you fed up having to put up with muslims who hate america because we buy their oil? most 911 terrorists where saudi and no one ever touched them because of their nationality when oil hits 100 dollars a barrel next year theyre going to end up with some stupid compact anyway omg over some stupid suv that looks like a trailer who cares what u drive u all take the bus and start walking thats why people are so fat around here oh sorry its called an "epidemic disease" now lol

Next time I'm driving my SUV in Canada I will be sure to run all the Toyota Corolla's into the ditch. So what are we supposed to drive if we have a big family a Corolla,I don't think so.I can afford the gas and I will drive what I want,I bet your Corolla doesn't get much better mileage then my SUV.You tree huggers need to get a life.Do you waste gas in any way, driving fast or making unnecessary trips?I bet swiss cheeze drives fast and flys a plane, what a waste of gas.Why is Toyota against the increase in the mileage that the Feds want?

Some people need SUVs. For example I live in a rural are littered with tractor ruts that would destroy your car's suspension. In addition I need to haul trailors and drive through my land without getting stuck. I also have a large family. Stop being egotistical and thinking everyone is in the same situation as yourself. I think you are just subconsciously intimidated by SUVs because their size makes you in your small car feel inadequate. Besides, a Ford Escape Hybrid SUV is way better for the environment than your corolla. Because of people like you, federal fuel economy requirements are forcing car makers to reduce SUV production.

Deciding what people are allowed to drive-you sound like a COMMUNIST to me. Why don't you try preaching your views in the deep South and see how well you are received.

i'm a small business enterprise proprietor and our business enterprise occurs to be a company. We pay taxes based on the earnings that our business enterprise shows on the books on the top of the 300 and sixty 5 days. maximum of that earnings is rather in bills receivable, on account that we do our accounting on an accrual foundation. this implies we don't even have the money yet, we've in common terms completed the artwork and invoiced the consumers. to boot, as as small business enterprise proprietor, the 1st individual who takes a cut back while funds flow is tight is me, the owner. the 1st 2 years we've been in business enterprise i did no longer even deliver residing house a pay examine, yet I nonetheless paid taxes because of the fact the business enterprise confirmed a earnings. If I had taken a pay examine, confident the earnings could have been decrease, yet i might have tied up funds flow on a weekly foundation. i think of the biggest undertaking is that individuals confuse firms in maximum circumstances with huge firms. Small agencies and business enterprise hire ninety 9% of the artwork stress contained in usa, and with the turning out to be value of gas and healthcare, that's puzzling to stay in business enterprise and grant competetive perks to our workers. greater taxes? sure, that could injury us, and ultimately our workers.

Glad to hear someone else sees this too. Taxes would be one way, personally I feel that they (suv's) should have to pay a higher price per gallon of gas. If they want to waste it, let them pay for it! I feel it should work like this.... When you drive in to pump gas you have to scan the VIN bar code on your vehicle, the computers will know the vehicle and will be able to charge accordingly by what the mpg Rating of the vehicle is listed at. The lower the fuel economy of the vehicle the more the get charged. In this way it may begin to make people rethink the vehicles they are buying and in turn force manufacturers to produce even more fuel efficient models. There would have to be some exceptions or exceptions for freight haulers but that could be dealt with on another level. I feel that these guzzlers will just keep overtaking the market until people feel the crunch in their wallet for buying such a vehicle. If people quit buying them, they will cease to be made.

What gives you the right to decide what someone else should spend their money to purchase? Why do you think that people should be punished if they make choices that you do not like?

I can think of several people who wanted to impose their views on others, and wanted to use governmental power do so. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Lenin are just a few. You must be proud to be in such company!

people shouldn't have to be taxed more for what they drive, fuel is taxed, so SUV owners may pay more taxes all ready

if they can afford to buy a suv, they can afford to pay more taxes. Let them suffer for guzzling gas.
