I want to supercharger my V6 firebird (Buick 3800). I'm not putting on the Eaton that is found on GTPs. Someone told me that since I have an auto trans, it will blow the tranny. Is that true? How much extra horsepower can I put on the trans before it blows and what can I do to make it handle the extra power?

I'm planing on buying a pulley for my 06 grand prix supercharger, on the web site it says "This additional heat may cause detonation which in turn will cause knock retard, robbing you of horsepower. If you are not doing something to prevent the detonation caused by a higher temperature intake charge, we recommend you stick with the 3.4" pulley" . what does it mean.

Here's the story:

My car was overheating and come to find out it was due to a bad water pump. Got the water pump changed. That day I drove quite a ways when later in the evening while I was idling my coolant started coming out of the overflow and also thru the cap. The engine temp was reading about 220. I initially thought it was due to a bad head gasket from the overheating, but an employee at Auto Zone declined. He said I would have smoke from tailpipe and anti-freeze mixed in with oil (oil would look like coffee). This weekend I noticed that the only time the temperature goes above 200 is when I am idling. If it starts to rise and I start driving and turn the heat on full blast the temp drops back down to 200. As soon as I idle again it starts back to rise and I repeat the process and it goes back down to 200. What are all the possible things that could be wrong? If I need to bleed the system is it something simple, and if so how?

We just changed the plugs and wires. The service light is on. A diagnostic test said it is a random misfire. What could be causing this?

I am desperately trying to find a car that Pontiac made with this engine. It was a screamer,to say the least. It would do close to 10,000 rpm. It didn't have a lot of low end torque, but wind it up and watch it go! I've asked a lot of people who love cars & nobody believes me that Pontiac made this engine. HELP!

My car is making a squeaking/chipring sound. It's only when it is in drive, and never when it's idling. It has a pattern to it (chirp cirp chirp, chirp, chirp...) and it's pretty constant. I don't know if a belt is starting to slip or what, but I really need help figuring out what it is.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I was wondering if you can buy a superchip for it to increase gas mileage/horsepower. If so, could you please name the place or the site where you can order it.

I have a 97 pontiac grand prix and I'm having problems with my reverse lights, I have change my fuse several times but it keeps blowing, and I have check my bulbs and they work. I have unhook my truck release and the fuse still blows out.
Also, I'm having problems with my bearing, I took it to a mechanic and he says it's the bearing but he have to take the belt off to see which one exactly it is. Can someone please help me.
