My car is making a squeaking/chipring sound. It's only when it is in drive, and never when it's idling. It has a pattern to it (chirp cirp chirp, chirp, chirp...) and it's pretty constant. I don't know if a belt is starting to slip or what, but I really need help figuring out what it is.

It's probably the serp. belt being glazed up or needing replacement. With the motor off, look at both sides of the belt. If it's all cracked and glazed, replace it. While you are inspecting the belt, inpsect the serp. belt tensioner and pulley for being bent and the bearing being okay. These had a tendency to bend. If all that looks and feels good, run the motor and listen to the accessories being driven by the belt to determine which one is squeaking and that will probably have a bad bearing. Good luck.
