answer above is wrong. in a 99 Grand Am there on the drivers side under the dash to the left of the car. this link will show you what it looks like.

They are under the hood, usually located within the intake air system to keep the unit cold. You have to take apart the air filter intake ductwork to find it. Good luck.

answers above is wrong under glovebox where would gm put it under drivers side
