My Mazda MPV 3.0 with about 80 thousand miles won't shift higher than 2nd gear.
With the transmission in "Drive" its shifts up to 2nd. When I accelerate further the engine rpms go up the RED zone but the transmission seems to disengage. I understand that automatic transmissions can experience a "slipping" problem, but I don't have the experience or knowledge to properly diagnosis this problem.
I have done transmission flush and cleaned up the pan and filter, found 2 pointed (tiny) pieces of metal that seems to have broken off from the transmission.

Does anybody know where I can a possible solution to this problem?

I have a Mazda 626 L reg absulutly brilliant car. The problem I have is on accelration the steering pulls slitly to the right on decelration it pulls to the left. Any ideas.

Its an automatic trany 2000 mazda 626 the overdrive light has been flashing on and off on the dash for about 3 weeks and I don't know what to do.It still drives , it just will not backup and I believe something with the overdrive is messed up cause the get up and go is gone.

i just got a 95 mazda , it has a remote key but its not program ,does any no how to program it . the dealership want like $100.00 to program it for me . is there a way i can do it myself.
