The manual says the car "requires" 87+ octane. In Utah, most standard grade gas is only 85 (I guess in some places, it's 87) octane. I'm wondering if I am wasting my $ on paying for mid-grade. Any mechanics or Mazda-savvy types, or others who consider themselves experts on gas grades who can comment?

Oh, it's a 2006 Mazda6 4 cyl 5 speed AT with no special trimmings.

Thanks.

I want one or the other. Have driven both. Both have plus'es and minus'es.

This would be my car do drive around in -- not take a vacation (use the other car for that).

Some people get a Mini and trade it away. Have never heard of a person doing that to a Miata.

Hard choice. Help . . .

when i got the car, it didn't have a manual and for a while, i thought the cruise control was "busted." on my way home from work sometime last week, i was playing with the buttons, and the cruise light came on. so i'm hoping its still functional.

A 1994 Mazda 323 SOHC 1.6L was working just fine, sat outside for 10 months during some cold weather and will not start, starter cranks but not even a single cough out of the engine!

Here are some important points, please read them so you know what I've already checked.

-it has been sitting in a warm, dry shop for a week now
-has new battery
-made sure I have fresh fuel coming to the injection manifold
-fuel pump seems fine, can disconnect line at inject. manifold, crank starter and watch fuel pee out
-all fuses good
-spark plugs are all decent
-all wires between ignition coil and spark plugs are fine
-with plug out can see puffs of fuel coming out of the whole where the spark plug came from
-tried with air intake wide open at engine
-at first intermittent, weak sparks at plugs
1. replaced distributor cap
2. cleaned up distributor rotor
3. replaced ignition coil
-after that getting regular, decent sparks at plugs
but still, no combustion!

Any ideas? Thanks!

It is a crazy little door about 6 inches high and 18 inches wide that opens with two twist knobs on the right interior panel of the cargo area. Behind this door is a small inset with two straps that are obviously used to hold something down inside this storage area. I cannot find this in the owner's manual and no one in my office knows what this is for......

HELP!

I just bought a 2003 Mazda Tribute 6 cylinder 3.0L. I get 250 km to the tank (60L) and I think there is something terribly wrong. Does anyone have advice or can anyone confirm that this is a problem.

I have been studying this light for quite sometime- I looked it up in my manual and everything, but I still am at a loss regarding what it even means. Other people drive this car, so obviously SOMEONE has to know... haha.

I have been looking for a car and found a 2005 Mazda 3, 4 door Sedan Automatic that has only a few minor scratches but overall is extremely clean. It has appx 21,500 miles and they are asking $15,991 on the window sticker. Is this a good deal? Any feedback on the Mazda 3?

I want to purchase a new Honda Civic, but they're just so damn expensive. Now I'm looking at the new Mazda 3's. I'm partial to Honda and Toyota for their reliability. Are Mazda's reliable cars that will last long like Hondas and Toyotas?
