my mazda car has been over heating for awhile i took it to the shop they thought it was the thermastat but later they found it to have a bustered hose that goes to the radiator and the thermastat is bad and it busted the resavoir bottle and cracked the radiator so the man is chargeing me 650.00 is this a fair price?

I'm assuming you have a v6 since you said the bottle is cracked. figure -

$160 for an aftermarket radiator
$13 for upper hose
$13 for lower hose
$18 for thermostat
$80 for reservoir bottle
= $284 in parts

labor about 5.5 units book time @ $60/unit =$330

total = $614 + tax, coolant and shop supplies.
Fair price.

this is a good price. I payed 800.00 when that happened to my civic. The problem is the car may be past the point t7hat you would actaully want to sink more money in it!
