I have been studying this light for quite sometime- I looked it up in my manual and everything, but I still am at a loss regarding what it even means. Other people drive this car, so obviously SOMEONE has to know... haha.

The light is not on constantly, it comes on from time to time and does not remain on. My lights (brakes, rears, turn signals, the whole nine) are fine. I just want to know what its even doing on my instrument panel. :) Oh, by the way, it's a 91, FRONT wheel drive. Automatic. Non turbo. :)

It probably indicates that one of the taillights is burned out.

Have someone stand behind the car while you press the brakes (or vise versa) and make sure they are all coming on. Check the turn signals, and put it into reverse to see if the back-up lights come on.

If it all works, then I would ignore it.

It just occured to me after I posted the first time, your car is rear-wheel drive, so it might have a sensor telling you to check or replace your trans-axle fluid.

its telling you that you have a light out in the rear of it,either a turn signal or brake or park light will cause this light to come on,but that's what its doing is telling you its out, good luck,i hope this help,s.
