I just purchased a used 06 cobalt automatic (did not come with an owners manual) and the wife ran something over and smashed to tranny pan and is leaking. I know there is no dip stick but i did find the filler hole. After I replace the pan how much fluid should it take to fill the tranny.

So My 2001 Cheverolet Impala LS (3.8L Engine) has recently started to have a "rough idle" which also carries over to coasting (foot off the pedal) when driving.

RPM's will bounce from 1000 to 750 then bounce back up to around 1200 and up.

This does not/not happen when the car is under load (ie: accelerating - as I know I had a problem years back with a corroded spark plug wire which would fire, but at around 2500-3000 (heaviest load) it was unable to deliver, and would cause much more noticeable bogging.

I have checked the plugs, wires, terminals, no corrosion whatsoever.

I am leaning towards this being more of a Transmission problem or perhaps engine.

This car certainly has had it's share of problems, and had a used 2004 Transmission put in it (out of a wreck with 13K on it) about 30K ago (making the tranny about 43Km's old - never rebuilt).
This was replaced about 1.5 yrs ago.

my 72 chevy (c10, manual trans) blinkers stopped working the other day. neither blinker flashes, it just stays illuminted when i hit the switch. the emergency flashers work fine as long as im off the brake. if i push brake pedal the flashers stop flashing and stay lit. im thinking it has to be a ground problem? but could it also be in the brake switch or turn signal switch? any info would be appreciated

I have a 1987 Camaro V6 coupe. This started 2 days ago I was pressing on the gas as I normally do. Then it started making this loud clanking sound, now I have to use my big toe to push on the gas or it starts making it again. Unfortunately I still have to drive it though other wise I would wait till it is fixed. What it wrong with it???
