You gave us no clue whatsoever what kind of vehicle you own??? What';s with that??? Since you posted it here in Chevrolet though assume that must be some sort of Chevrolet. Been making them since the early 1900's so just taking a guess here that you have a fairly new one. If your's is fairly new you can try removing the battery and letting the computer clear for about 30 minutes. If that lets the guages start back working then check the cooling system fans. This is a problem on the Impala and Malibu and some of the Buicks and Olds and such as well. The double cooling fans develop a bad fan motor on one side that causes some sort of voltage fluctuation that scrambles the car computer and can even make the ac compressor not kick in. Clearing the computer often lets them return to working until the fans kick in again. We have had to change out several of these complete fan assemblies for just this problem. That said though, there is still the possibility that you simply have two problems. The temp guage uses a sending unit on the engine that tell the guage how hot the engine is and the gas guage has a unit in the tank that does the same thing. If the problem did not start on both at the same time then that is where I would look. If they did start at the same time then follow the example I listed above and might find the problem.

Might be the gauges " fuse" . Look in the fuse box which is generally located under the dash on the drivers side.

If the lights work and other guages work then it probably is a bad connection , more likely a ground problem.
