I just installed a system in my oldschool and for about 3 days my system worked fine. But the other day my subs will cut off when I turn my volume up pass 20. I have already busted 4 fuses in my amp and checked my head unit and it seems fine and all my wiring is perfect. I was told it could be my battery, but I dont have trouble with my amp cutting off its just that my subs will not play after a certain volume. I also know its not my battery because I had this car for a while and the battery is only 2 years old. I need help figuring it out. I was also told that my ground may be bad. I checked that but its not that either.

the radio has stopped working in my 98 rover 200.
it was off the road for a copule of weeks and the battery went flat and now the radio won't work. it seems to have no power to it so i am unable to put the code in.
nothing else electrical has stopped working. any ideas?
i have been told it may be a fuse, so can anybody tell me where i will find the fuses ?

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP5028 CD player. I was installing the system and everything was going fine. The wiring harness has the yellow cable missing which I think the the 12v. I attatched a wire and hooked it all up and everything was working fine. When I pushed the unit into the dash the wire cameout and it touched the black ground wire. I heard a pop and noticed that the unit was smoking a little bit. Now my unit will not power back on. The fuse is still good so thats not the problem. The radio fuse is also intact. Does anyone know what the problem is? Is there an internal fuse I dont know about? Your help wil be much appreciated. Im also trying to avoid taking it to a repair shop because I know they are goind to charge me an arm and a leg.

I have a 2005 chevy equinox w/ a CD player. I have a ton of burnt CDs from over the past 6-7 years but they haver a hard time playing in my car. They play in my comp. all my stereos, and every other car ive tried them in (98 infiniti, 97 explorer, 02 explorer, 00 accord). They are a variety of brands and while some may be old and scratched even newly burnt ones dont play right. I have to put the CD in and out may times, it usually just says "check disk" and ejects it and other times it says something like " dsp transmittent error". I bought the car new and it has been doin this forever. Regular CDs seem to work perfectly in the car, but not burnt ones. I dont know if this matters but some of the songs on my comp were saved as AAC files and some as MP3 files, but like i said the CDs play in EVERY OTHER CD player ive tried. Can anyone provide insight as 2 what may be wrong and what may fix the problem. any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I recently put a system in my car... dual 12" subs and an amp ... I wanted to go for a loud "BOOM BOOM" that could be heard from a good distance. Mine seems quiet in comparison, is there an adjustmeny I can make? Or must I go to 15's? and how much difference does 8 guage wiring and 4 guage wiring have, thanks.

hey all, i have a 2004 chevy silverado ex cab. im installing 2-12" kicker comp c-12 in a box under the seat of the rear cab. also, i am puting in 2-6.5" rockford fosgate t162c in the front doors.
the 6.5" will be powereed by my car stereo, a kenwood dpx-301 50wattx4 (22x4 rms). the subwoofers(150rms each), will be powered by a kenwoodkac-9103d mono powered amp. the power output is 900w rmsx1 @2ohms, 500w rms@4ohms. what i was wondering, is what is the best way to hook these subs up to the amp? would it be better to do it paralell? or should i have in bridged?

Ok, I have a 1.5 capacitor. Someone told me that capacitors, depending on the farad level, adds a certain amount of watts to your amp....Example: I have a 600 watt amp, I have a 1.5 capacitor (1.5 farads= 1500 watts), so now I have a total of 2100 watts....If you understand my question please help, cause I didn't just want to by the capacitor and not even have to use it.

Mind Blower Speakers were out in the 70's. Each one had there own amp built onto the back of the magnet. I am restoring a old hot rod truck and I want to keep it real in detail that was available in the 70's. Any help would be helpful.
