I have an Alpine head unit, PPI 1000w rms amp, 3 12"subs. I turned all the settings on the amp on the highest level (which i think is wrong, but i figured i can just adjust everything from my head unit). When i turn the volume to 22, it sounds like its bumping hard but once i turn the knob to 23 the bass definitely drops and when i turn the knob higher to 32, the bass is bumping harder than it was on 22 but the treble seems slightly distorted but not too distorted. As far as I can remember, it didnt do this until recently. Im pretty good in adjusting the sound to how i want it to be and this is not really a huge problem for me but it does bother me still. Any specific settings that i need to adjust would be much help. Thanks.

I was looking at the Pioneer DEH-1900MP. Here are the specs:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Qp0OBI1u2to/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&tab=features_and_specs&i=130DEH1900#Tab

I noticed that for most stereos, the RMS Power Bandwith ranges from 20-20kHz, but for this Pioneer it ranges from 50-15kHz.

However, take a look at this excerpt from the manual:
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/3751/deh1900cf5.jpg

Under audio, it says the 50-15khz, but then under each specific function it has another set of numbers.

Basically, I'm asking if this stereo will be able to replicate low notes around 20Hz. Im using this in conjunction with an amp and two subs, and I obviously do not want to eliminate the 20-50Hz frequency range. Am I misinterpreting what Crutchfield is saying?

Ok, like I said, I have 2100 watts with my capacitor and amp combined, and I need an amp installation kit. Wellllll, I'm looking at this one installation kit that is a 2000 watt kit. Even though it is only 100 watts off, I'm worried that even 100 watts can fry the wires, so, I just need someone to tell me if its ok to go ahead and get the 2000 watt installation kit, or get a more powerfull kit, such as a 3000 watt.......I also tried finding a 2500 watt installation kit, not to much luck there, thought I found something, but I don't know....thanks for the help...and please, someone who knows what they are talking about..

I tend to play my music in my car a little to loud and now my back speaker rumbles rather than play a clear sound. Is there any way I can temporarily fix it so that it sounds right until I get the money to buy new car speakers? Right now it's sounding pretty bad and it drives me crazy. Can't do without my music in my car. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or solutions.

The radio/cassette appears to be an all-in-one moulding that takes up a large part of the middle of the dashboard. It doesn't look easy to change it for a CD player but can anyone advise?

i have a 1994 bmw 318is. it it from europe. i have a pioneer 6 disc changer in the trunk and a pioneer tape deck that no longer works. i bought a new 2900 pioneer deck. this new deck has an ip usp port on the back for 6 disc changer connection. my problem is the cable running from the 6 disc changer has a bwmpio port. the bmwpio is a round 13 pin connector, but the ip usb is a squaire 12 pin connection. i really need to know how to splice the two connectors together a pin guide would help a lot, hopefully someone else had this problem and i can keep my changer.

I'm looking to intergrate an ipod into my '03 745i so I can use it via the idrive system, but without losing any of the functionality of the idrive (gps, climate, etc.).

Have any of you had any luck doing this?

I've heard that BMW can install an ipod kit, but that they're painfully slow, if they can even do it for a 2003. This "slowness" issue eliminates that option for me.

I'm desparate to know how to get my tunes into my idrive. Let me know if you've had any luck?

Thanks.
