i have a 1994 bmw 318is. it it from europe. i have a pioneer 6 disc changer in the trunk and a pioneer tape deck that no longer works. i bought a new 2900 pioneer deck. this new deck has an ip usp port on the back for 6 disc changer connection. my problem is the cable running from the 6 disc changer has a bwmpio port. the bmwpio is a round 13 pin connector, but the ip usb is a squaire 12 pin connection. i really need to know how to splice the two connectors together a pin guide would help a lot, hopefully someone else had this problem and i can keep my changer.

You can get a P-Bus cable that will do the trick. Try Besy Buy or Circuit City, even Crutchfield should have it . Like $30.

Sounds more like you got a HOT deck to me. Cuz if you bought it, the instruction manual will have the way to connect and a phone number to call for problems.

Take it in on your close by broking to get it fixed under guarantee. i'd be keen to guess that the subject is an overheated amp, that's a conventional subject on those vehicles. sturdy success!
