For tires???????

*****************The aspect ratio is the ratio of the sidewall height to the width of the tire. For instance a 225 / 50R 15 tire is 225 millimeters wide and made for a 15" wheel, the sidewall height is 50% of the tire width.

The aspect ratio of a tyre is the percentage of the tread width. For example, take a tyre size of 225/55R16. This means that the tread width is 225 millimeters, and the sidewall is 55% of the tread width, (123.75 millimeters high, or thereabouts), it has radial construction, and fits a 16 inch rim diameter.
