it depends on how much mula uve got. dvc can handle more power and also give u more wireing options as menioned by the other guy. single voice coil is good enough for most people though

pretty much just wiring options. you can wire a DVC up for 2 ohms or 8, while with a SVC, your stuck with whatever the rating is, usually 2 or 4.

the only difference is the wiring options. a single voice coil sub can be just as loud as a dual.
