installed myself with power wires running on one side and speaker wires on the other side. I have Pan CD player, Pheonix Gold amp, 4 pioneer speakers and tube sub in trunk. Someone suggested a noisesuppessor..never heard of one

How long is the ground wire for the amp? You want to keep this wire as short as possible to help eliminate excessive engine noise. Also check your ground from battery to frame, if your not getting a good ground here you will have lots of noise.......Might be a good investment to just replace the battery ground cable altogether.

You need to meter your grounds and check for resistance. a proper ground will meter at less than 0.5 ohms of resistance. A noise suppressor is just a band aid and will not cure your noise problem until you find the source anyway.

you can buy a noise filter to help filter out the sound sometimes they work and sometimes they don't ...you can prob. try an auto parts store if u can't find one there try a truck stop they sell them for the "big trucks" but i'm sure they can be used for cars as well.

Go to the store where you bought the stuff and get a noise suppressor or rf suppressor. Different names but works the same.

You can get suppresors for different parts of the engine,ignition,alternator noise is the most common.

get a noise filter that will help it alittle but you will always get noise because it is interference from the motor
