Hello,

I have a 2003 Dodge Neon. About a year ago, I had a Sony Xplode head/4 speaker package installed (no amp). I was very disappointed in the low end of the sound spectrum; there really is no bass to speak of.

I am satisfied with the volume of the existing four speakers out of the head unit but would like to add a bass component to my system, specifically to round out the bass and feel a little bit of kick on the bass drums. I listen mostly to progressive metal, which doesn't feature driving bass.

As an aside, I have a Kicker KX150.2 amp that I bought some time ago on the cheap. Here are a few (hopefully relevant) lines from the spec sheet

RMS POWER
14.4V 4 ohms Mono 150 watts
12.5V 4 ohms Mono 115 watts

Questions:
1) What size of speaker is good enough to meet my needs?
2) Is the amp I have enough to power it?
3) Optionally, is a bass tube with built in amp a better/cheaper alternative?

Would be nice to know before they try to sell me more than what I need.

I just purchased a kicker ZX750.1 amp and am debating which subs to get for it. I was thinking about the Polk db124's from circuitcity which have great reviews. Any other ideas?

Ya see i love my music but cant get an FM transmitter, for one simple reason, my car only has AM, and i wanna try to not modify it at all. So is there at all such thing as an AM transmitter which will let me listen to my mp3 player over AM radio? If not how much does it cost to get an FM radio in my car the cheapest way possible? Its a 1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale. And if you are an Oldsmobile enthusiast feel free to just chat with me :) and if you perhaps wanna see a pic of it go here : http://www.myspace.com/9guyson10guys

Hooking up a DEH-P680MP to a 2002 honda civic. I took out an old aftermarket stereo and just spliced the new wired to the old ones. All color coded so it should haver been an easy swap, but the stereo doesnt seem to have power. There is one wire on the back that I am not sure if it needs to be hooked up for the stereo to work or if I bought a bad deck. The wire is Orange/White and in the manual sayt "To lighting switch terminal" I DONT KNOW WHAT THE MEANS. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. THANKS!

My incar dvd player will only show a picture when it detects the brakes are at ground, ie when i'm stopped. This kind of defeats the purpose of my daughter being able to watch movies whilst i travel, we don't exactly sit around in the car watching movies, the sofa is much more comfortable.

Now, as it requires a signal to say the brakes are at ground, if i was to simply connect this wire to the car chassis to ground it would this work? Or will it be picking up an electronic signal?

I'm not much of an electrical wizz, but can find my way around it with guidance. Thanks in advance.

I have observed that the L. rear fender mounted radio antenna does not extend to a height of more than 2 feet above the trunk lid. Do you think if I install a longer antenna, maybe 3 to 4 feet long when fully extended, that I can improve the radio reception to a decent level. The problem seems to me that the antenna should extend to at least one foot above the roof line.

I know it's popular with the kids these days, but those very loud stereo music blasts by at all hours of the night, and I can't sleep with all that racket. It's so loud that it rattles pictures off the walls. When did kids get to are so little about their neighbors, when did disturbing the peace become so popular. Have the morals of the youth deteroirated so much that peace and quiet means nothing, no to mention a good nights sleep?
