ya that isn't very good but why don't you tell your brother you want to pay for like half of one for him and he can pay the rest and get a good amp. unless he really dosen't care then get it.

Lanzar vibe series, and power acoustik are the best cheap amps you can buy power acoustik is the best as far as my pick. I had this amp in my 97 altima, 540 watts, it was pushing two 1200 watt infinity subs at a level you will have to hear to believe! There was no need to look out of my side and rear view mirrors cause they had brain damage from all the shaking, the rear view fell off, and was never replaced!

this amp is no good, what you need is an amp that will not distort at an high volumeorafter continuos usage.. but you said 39 is your budget..I will tell you, that you will not get a good amp for that price, it does not make sense to buy a cheap amp that you have to replace every few months (like that legacy)..

legacy is a joke. look at us acoustics, they suck a little bit less. my advice would be to find a halfway decent used amp. hint: don't get sony, legacy, pyle, or anything else you can get at a flea market.
