I want to upgrade my car audio sytem from my current pair of 10" JL Audio W0s. I have new JL Audio 500/1 amplifier rated at 500watts @ 1.5-4ohms. I want a sytstem that will hit hard. So will 2 12s in a sealed box given 250 watts to each subwoofer hit harder than a single 15 in a sealed box given all 500 watts?

I am interested in Oprah and Friends and Good Morning America but also like a few exclusive stations on XM. I do not particularly care for Howard Stern.

I have Saturn SL '97...it doesn't have a CD player or a Cassette player!!! All I have is the radio, which is ok most of the time, but sometimes I wish I could listen to "my own" music...is there anything I can get for my car which can allow me to access my own music (whether it be from my CD's directly, or from downloading from the internet)...without having to get either a cassette player or CD player installed? As in...looking for cheapest way to hear my music.

I've heard about something called a Dell Diddy (???)...would that work, maybe?

It will keep doing this until I turn the volume down. my amp is only turned up half gain. I have a capacitor as well so I dont think power is the problem. I only have 8 gauge power wire ran for now until my 4 gauge comes in. Is that the problem? Any suggestions?

I have a 1995 audi A4 steel back seats and parcel shelf. I am currently running 4 uprated internal speakers fitted to the standard fit slots in place of the original speakers, all running from a mutant amp. I am also running a 1200w sony xplod sub with a 300w amp turned to maximum gain and also a 300w fusion sub running froma 250w amp on max gain! as you can see i have a ix matched system but to be fair it does sound awsome inside the car!!! The problem i have is that the boot of the car vibrates really bad and sound awful! i have removed the very back carpeted panel from the lift up section of the boot ( behind the number plate ) and padded it all out with fire resistant foam but this does not seem to have made that much of a difference! i am planing to cut a couple of holes in the steel parcel shelf to alow extra air movement and to increase the volume in the car further and am also hoping this will stop some of the vibration any other cheap ideas would be greatly appreciated though!

How does Phoenix Gold compare with Rockford Fosgate or JL Audio? I notice that Phoenix Gold amps are almost half the price. I don't want to buy an amp that is cheap quality or is over rated in the power department. I know there are many brands of amps out there that are totally cheap and terrible claiming huge power ratings and usually look fancy or have fancy names. I just want quality at a decent price.

I am looking at purchasing the Phoenix Gold Octane R15.0:1. Mono amplifier rated at 1000Wrms @ with a 2 OHM load.

Let me know your thoughts. THANKS.

The new stereo I'm trying to fit has a jack plug connection, but the existing connection seems to be some sort of cap system. I just wondered if there was some sort of adaptor available to allow me to fit this new stereo.

I do alot of work at new residential locations (homes). So I need a system that is accurate with its directions and has up to date maps. I'm not looking to spend more than 500 bucks. Is that to much to ask for that price range?
