It is a SPL CP8.0 capacitor.....I am powering 2 06 model 12" kicker solobaric L7's with a 1500.1 kicker amp

Because no current is flowing through the circuit. The cap is charged when it's first hooked up. You'll see current flow as it charges. Once it's charged, current flow will drop to zero.

The only time current will flow after it's charged is when there is a VERY heavy drain on the amp and the battery and alternator can't supply the needed current. Those periods tend to be quite brief and you may need a recording ammeter to see any flow. Once the surge passes, the cap will recharge and then wait at zero current flow for the next transient.

To find the current supplied, look up the model of alternator you have.

These are typical:
Compact cars, 35 amp alt.
Mid-sized cars, 65- 75 amp alt.
SUV's, 145 amp alt.

8 Farads is a bit much for what your pushing, but won't hurt anything.
