I am interested in Oprah and Friends and Good Morning America but also like a few exclusive stations on XM. I do not particularly care for Howard Stern.

If you want Oprah and other exclusive XM, then go with XM; if you already know what you want, and where to get it from, why are you even asking which service to go with??
I am for Sirius 100%, but it all depends on what your want. I'm all about Stern and commercial free music stations. XM has commericals on its music stations. The other talk and comedy stations on Sirius are great as well!

i'm not sure why people are saying sirius. you don't like howard stern. oprah is exclusively on xm and you said you like the stations on xm.

sirius has poor hardware, in fact the much touted stiletto was just named "dud" of the year. (see link below)

sirius has a shallow playlist, too. they repeat many songs. they have several channels that only play ONE artist so you'll hear the same songs many times a day.

xm has more variety and more exclusive programming. bob dylan has his own show, oprah, the old casey kasem top 40 (commercial free), ellen, etc.

xm has over 170 channels and sirius has about 130.

Sirius, hands down. they are destroying xm in the growth category and will probably end up buying xm. They also have better equipment, content, more commercial free music, news right and left, talk right and left, comedy family friendly and raw, NPR, Martha Stewart, the NFL and NASCAR exclusively....and last but not least but most influential...love him or hate him you will be addicted...Howard Stern, he is there for four hours live on weekdays. OPRAH IS ONLY LIVE ONE HALF HOUR A MONTH! What a rip off.

I have xm and LOVE it. We travel long distances and it has been a car ride life saver. My husband on the other hand prefers Sirius because of howard stern. I think he likes it for the playboy stuff too (don't even know if that is on Sirius, but I think I heard him talk about it).

XM have more subscribers and sells more aftermarket units. Therefore it is more attractive to merchants who are starting to plague it with advertisement.

Sirius its more commonly found as factory option. subscription is little more expensive

both have music and programs for all tastes, reception is the same.

I went for sirius and I'm still happy

Sirius is better because it is commercial free, but you can look for your own

I think either one is a waste of money... I like local news and traffic reports ... and FREE music!
