I do alot of work at new residential locations (homes). So I need a system that is accurate with its directions and has up to date maps. I'm not looking to spend more than 500 bucks. Is that to much to ask for that price range?

If you have a laptop, there is a new product out that you can connect to your laptop. It comes with software and a reciever. The reciever is small and will not make your laptop gawdy. Ive seen then online and at walmart!

You've got tons of options, but you'll need to find out about upgrades and updates from your purchase. I think the Tom-Tom has pretty good features. I currently have one built into my car and I love it.

You can get that in that price range; no problem. I have a Garmin and it works great. I've heard bad things about TomTom.
