where do i find the color codes for a stereo on a 1987 nissan sentra, the wires have been cut from the harness

purchase a chiltons auto repair manual for your vehicle. the manuals are vehicle specific, and in the back section, will usually have wiring diagrams that you can follow to ascertain the circuit you need. This will show any wire it also will tell you what size(A.W.G.) or gauge the wire is in addition to color. Also, the same section will give info on how to use, and intrepret the diagram.
