The new stereo I'm trying to fit has a jack plug connection, but the existing connection seems to be some sort of cap system. I just wondered if there was some sort of adaptor available to allow me to fit this new stereo.

halfords ones are cheap and somtimes come of the connection go to a proper audio store where they are no more than £5 for a good quality one halfords will most probably charge you that for the cheaper version anyway

yes, i had this very problem with my old vectra, get yourself to halfords or any car stereo shop and they will be able to provide you with the right adaptor, halfords will charge you from £2.99 to £5.99 depending on type and length needed

yes go to halfords good bit of advice put a bit of tape over it when its on the stereo they do fall off sometimes

hi mate on the back of your cd participant there must be a purple cord and a yellow cord and it would be a spade clip so u can connect the yellow cord 2 the purple cord so there related at the same time this might help save all the memory or u ought to objective swapping the yellow cord into the purple and purple into the yellow consistently works for me

ther is an adapter available at any motor shop or any shop that sells car radios
