RMS rated for a speaker or subwoofer is the constant amount of wattage that the speaker/subwoofer can handle for long periods of time without causeing damage to the speaker. Also 325 watts rms rated for a subwoofer is not weak. Its about average for good 12 subwoofer.

Root mean square. It's the most honest way of measuring AC power or voltage. The 120V from a wall outlet is rms. People who quote peak instantaneous power or some other garbage are just trying to fool you. An honest 325rms watts in a subwoofer is pretty good.

Root Mean Square
We've heard that RMS stands for "Root Mean Square", but that expression may not be the model of clarity. If we recall that the arithmetic mean of two numbers is just the average of those two numbers, the expression starts to make a little sense. What we are doing is taking the square root of the average of the squares of the instantaneous voltages.

dude, 325 RMS is good. you should laugh at the guys who said its weak. Root Mean Square. it just basically means the amount of continuous power your subs are getting or your amp is giving. again, 325 is good. if you have subs at 325, keep them, they will be heard a long ways away. hah, they can hear you before they can see you! hah, i like that one.

rms mean contious power which means your speaker could not handle more than 325watts steadly i think a couple would be pretty strong you would not win any competions
