Hooking up a DEH-P680MP to a 2002 honda civic. I took out an old aftermarket stereo and just spliced the new wired to the old ones. All color coded so it should haver been an easy swap, but the stereo doesnt seem to have power. There is one wire on the back that I am not sure if it needs to be hooked up for the stereo to work or if I bought a bad deck. The wire is Orange/White and in the manual sayt "To lighting switch terminal" I DONT KNOW WHAT THE MEANS. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. THANKS!

looking for 12Volt power always requires a 12Volt "ice pick" testor that will help you find a hot wire and use the key in off and on to determine that the wire will shut--off when you turn-off the ride.....it would be wise of you to go to the local stereo dude "shop" and get an expert to assess your problem----if you want to do this yourself then you need to trace down all the wires that are hooked to the RADIO and get these answers for yourself-----just splicing wires is not the answer to correctly installing a stereo....pay for the help before you burn up the new CD deck____________

To the headlight switch so when you turn on the head lights it will light up the radio to.
All you need is to splice it into a hight bulb that is lite when the dash lights are on.
