I had a remote starter-alarm combo installed at bestbuy.... never again, they hacked wires up pretty bad. the starter works OK now that I fixed some of the wiring issues but they hooked up the alarm all wrong, no shrink wrap...just a mess of black tape under my dash. I have been back four times to get it fixed but now they admitt they only have one installer who knows what he is doing and he is always gone on sound show trips, Wish they would have told me that before they used my $60,000.00 truck as a learning tool. So what I am getting to is don't take your speakers to a place that sells dishwashers.

Best Buy Car Speakers

I agree with the other guy.. Best Buy will install the speakers, but their price will be way out of line and they will sell the parts they use by a 'kit' price instead of the actual parts. They make their money by volume.. NOT by quality. Take it to an independent shop.. look at the work they are doing on someone else's car at that time and then, if they are doing the level work you expect, get a flat price from them.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

Most "big box" nationwide chains Best Buy, Circuit City, etc... Have hacks working in their install department. If the installer had any talent, mechanical skills or electrical aptitude they would be working for a small private or custom shop. Also most shops regardless of big box or private frown upon you bringing them speakers you bought somewhere else and have them install it. Most private shops will turn the job down.

Reason is they didnt sell you the speakers. They dont know the quality. Alot of high end name brands are being copied in China. So you got some deal of Ebay and your local shop installs them. Then they blow a week later. Your not going to blame the Ebay seller, your going back to the local shop who installed them. The local shops dont want that responsibility on their shoulders. In their eyes your not worth it for a 60 buck install job and the possible trouble down the road.

it is easy to install but dont get in over ur head...ask questions..and if best buy installs it...it is charged by the type of car and the type of system...but it is free if u buy something from best buy.
