My husband traded his 96 Acura Integra GSR (which was in great running condition (only 156,000 mi) and hookedup I just wanted a 4 door) for a 94 Ford Tuarus SHO (109,000 mi). The first week that we had the car it was leaking gas (we put $40 of gas in it and drove it 8 miles and it was on E), so he took it back to the dealer and they had paid for it to get fixed but we had already lost money from my husband missing work. 9 days after the gas leak was fixed the lights would not turn off draining the battery and now there is a loud grinding noise coming from under the car. We went back to the dealship and what it came down to is we would have to give them $300 in order to trade in the SHO for another car. We don't have any money to put into this car or another one. How would we go about getting what we deserve? As we expressed to the dealership we only want a safe care for our 16 month old son. We don't feel that's too much to ask for. Thanks to all who actually read all this and answer!

I am trying to buy a truck, and I have narrowed down to two:
2003 Ford Ranger, 73K miles pretty standard (eg. no bed liner, no window tinting, no security key etc).
2002 Ford Ranger, 65k miles, slightly better accessories.
Price is exactly the same, the 03 is gray, the 02 is white.
I drive about 24k miles a year.
They both look as good, but I do know that the 03 has newer components, and the 02 has fewer miles.
In my shoes, which would YOU choose?

I have a very nice 5 year old for sale. I've had it listed for 3 weeks now and have lowered the price each week. It is now below book value. Moreover, it's a Toyota for crying out loud! The problem is, I have not even had people call about it and only one person look at it and offer me a ridiculously low price ( mean, insultingly low). What gives??

Look it's a 2007 Corvette Z06, atomic orange, fully loaded, fast as hell, it used to belong to an Angels player (if that makes a difference).....I dont think $73k is asking too much AND I'm willing to take a trade WTF

My husband has a 2007 Ford Focus...and I'm fine with that. I was just wondering if there was anything better out there? I'm going to be buying my own car soon and we are in the midst of trying to get pregnant. I've heard the Volkswagens are good...is this true? Thanks!

My husband and I are looking to move within the next year. We will be first time home buyers. I was just wanting to know if we would have to put 20% down? Or if we'd be able to put less down. My husband has good credit. Mine is probably a little lower. My husband has a good work history. We are looking to buy a house that needs minor work...Okay...well any help is appreciated...

I put my car up for collateral for my fiance's motorcycle. Now the only thing I own on my own is tied up under his name. I hate my car now and want to trade it in. But if i do, it will pay off his loan instead of helping me buy a car. Is there anyway to get my title off his loan before pay off?

I like the vehicle, but ,I'm thinking that I got hosed. Is there a "heat of the moment" clause that I can plead? I signed papers with terms and such that I said I didn't want (60 payments and I said I only wanted to do 36 ,etc).I made the deal in Illinois.

I'm going to look at a car that the asking price is-$17,700 or best offer. The previous posts he was asking $18,500 then it was reduced to $18,000. Since he says "or best offer" i'm pretty sure he will take less. I know it has been listed for almost a month and possibly longer.

I just got back from a car dealership and the salesman quoted me a price and stated that was the asking price. However, when we got inside, his manager refused to honor the rebate the salesman said I was entitled to. Do I have any legal recourse to force them to sell the car at that price? Or should I just file complaints and allow word of mouth to do it's damage?

By the way, this is in California

it may need a starter and carb work but runs okay. 134,000 miles. some rust, holes on the suface, above the rear "wheel wells" (there appear to be any actual wheel wells, just the body of the car) and in the floorboard. the doors are very good and click shut like a refrigerater. good glass and wheel covers and looks pretty good in its origanal paint.
could i expect to turn it over or part it out? i am not the type to restore one. or is this investment unsafe at any cost?
i might just get it to drive around. is it legal/safe to, considering no sealt belts and everything?

I'm in the market for a car and the sites that say that they can help you find cars for like 90% off the retail value and yadda yadda yadda sound really good. the kind of thing i'm talking about is this: www.car-auction.com or www.seizecars.com or this site that lists the top 5 of em http://www.usedcarsinfo.info/index.php?t=usedcar

so has anyone used these? Are they real? if they work i'm willing to drop some money for a subscription but only if i get alot of positive feedback. thanks for the help

I just bought a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire from a local buy here pay here dealership and for some reason I'm kinda thinkin' I got ripped off. I put $900.00 down payment and I still owe $1005.00. He told me when I bought it that it had 108,000 miles on it and now that I got it I see that it has 768,000 miles on it. He just kinda seems like a lowlife dealer but I'm not sure what he's like because I don't know anyone who's ever bought from him before so I can't ask for advice. It has brand new brake pads, struts in the back, new tires, new lug nuts and hub caps, and it has really nice interior. Overall it seemed like a really nice car but now that I drive it I'm noticing that the mirror on the passenger side is broken so it won't pass inspection, I'm thinkin' it needs new front struts as well because it clunks and clicks every time I hit the slightest bump. I also noticed that when I start it the engine rocks back and forth like you wouldn't believe. Send me your opinions please?!....HELP

This is going to be my first car, I love the build of the car and size, I test drove one and I loved the way it drove. I'm into surfing, traveling, fishing, things like that so I'm thinking this car will be great! Is there anything that I should worry about? Or is there another car similar to the xterra that will get better gas mileage?
