I just got back from a car dealership and the salesman quoted me a price and stated that was the asking price. However, when we got inside, his manager refused to honor the rebate the salesman said I was entitled to. Do I have any legal recourse to force them to sell the car at that price? Or should I just file complaints and allow word of mouth to do it's damage?

By the way, this is in California

In writing? No? Then it was just sales talk, and the salesperson may have had his information crossed. If the salesperson was allowed to finalize the deal it wouldn't have gone to the manager, and that is the case at most dealerships. Nothing is enforceable until the agreement is on paper, it is just your word against theirs.

Unless you have it in writing then there was no legally binding contract. I would just go to another dealer.
