My wife and I recently were in the market for a Ford Escape 4 cylinder. We went to a Ford dealer and found a 6cylinder escape but they said that they could find us a 4 cylinder and made us a great deal. but it was in Kansas City and would be driven down to us after the weekend. So we signed the contracts recieved the bill of sale. We went to pick the car up and they said that the dealer in Kansas City sold the car to someone else after we already had the bill of sale. What are my rights? Do I need to speak to a lawyer?

I am dealing on a car I found through an online search. I spoke with the seller, and his company prefers a bank to bank wire transfer of funds. He would fax the paperwork, I would sign, and return. I would then wire the money. This company has an excellent rating on eBay as well. Is this safe? How can I tell? Thanks

I received a call from a car dealer last week, saying I was eligible for an upgrade. I purcased a car from them a year ago. So I went to look, found one I liked, but didn't need, made it VERY clear that they needed to sell a vehicle & I didn't need to buy one. We haggled over money, and we finally came to an agreement. The banks were closed, so the financing did not go through yet. I felt I was very clear at the time that if when the financing came back, if it wasn't exactly what we agreed on, then no deal. They sent me home in the new car and I have been driving it for over 7 days. I keep calling to ask about the financing, but get nowhere. I finally called today to tell them I was bringing their car back, and would be taking my car back, as the payment is due this week. They told me that everything went through, but they are not sure what the terms are. I want to be prepared when I get there, if the terms aren't what we agreed on, do I HAVE to take the car?

I don't want the car anymore. I guess I realize I can't get my money back. I paid it out, & it's mine, but I don't want it anymore. What should I do with it? What would happen if I abandon it? Or can I resell it?

I bought a car from this guy yesterday who so-claimed to be a mechanic. If he was a mechanic, then why didn't he fix the problems on his car, knowing he was gonna sell it? The car is a 1994 Honda Prelude with over 206,000 miles on it. It was running fine yesterday, but today when I got out of school, it wouldn't start, & now I can't get in touch with him. I bought the car for $1,300. & I had to get it towed & taken to a mechanic today.

The serpentine belts gotta be put on it, & there's something wrong with the computer in the car, which causes the shifts to mess up when driving.

Now my family is laughing @ me & calling me vulnerable & stupid about being taken advantage of. & I was told that I can't get my money back because the guy already sold the titles over to me. I feel like such an idiot.

Should I feel shamed?

I have a loan for a 2002 hyundai accent. The payoff on it right now is something like 4600, almost twice as much as a dealer will give me and just about the same as I will get for it selling it as a private seller. I dont like the car it has gotten too small, and i am having all these problems with it. When i bought it the circumstances made this car about my only option more or less. It is under my mothers name but i have moved out of the house (19). Should i just keep it and keep paying for repairs, try to sell it and get as much as i can (i dont think that is legal since the bank still owns it) or is there a way i can take it to a dealership and work something out where payments will be affordable. I pay 150 a month right now with no warrenty. I can afford up to 200

I went to purchase a car from Alan Vester in Henderson, NC a week ago. I was told that if I traded in my Grand Cherokee for a 2007 Suzuki Forenza Hatchback that I would no longer have as much negative equity. I was about 5000 dollars in the hole. After having trouble believing the, they brought out 2 sales people and the finance guy to convince me. I told them I would sign the document only if I can trade it on 6 month. They said it would give me a chance to build my credit and purchase what I want later and would not have any problem . Based on that information, I agreed to trade my car in. I gave them 2000 dollars down , only later to find out that I am about 10,000 dollars in the hold. My roommate witness the whole transaction and now I am stuck with a car I absolutely hate. Can I sue them for lying and misleading me to believe one thing when it is not the case.

First of all, I have insurance which I could place a claim on. What has happened is someone backed up into my new 07 Honda Accord and didnt leave a note. Now the back bumper and trunk have damage (Cracks and trunk wont open with the keyless remote). I wonder what would happen if I turn the lease in with damage at the end of two years? Should I just go ahead and place a claim on my insurance and take the chance of insurance rates going up? I want to go the cheapest way out and im sure paying out of pocket is too much if you know Honda prices. Unfortunately, there are people that have no regard for being responsible for their actions! Now, it seems i have to pay the price. Any ideas.?

He said he would sell it to her for $1,300, but the only thing is that when you stop the car (brake) you have to put the car back in drive 1. Is this dangerous? Is it harmful to drive this kind of car, taking the driving test? Or should she get this fixed before taking the car?

I own a 2001 nissan frontier crew cab model with 58K miles. I want to trade it in for a brand new or used honda civic hybrid or any kind of hybrid car with less than 58K miles. Where can i go to find more information about this or what kinds of deals could i expect to get at best? Is there such thing as a straight trade with no money paying difference if i traded my truck in for a hybrid that has equally as many miles on it or slighty more?
