new seat covers, good body, needs transmission, i have the transmission it just needs to be put in. what could i sell it for?

You'll likely double the lookers and double the vehicle value if you can install the tranny so it can be test driven. Depending on condition (especially the amount of rust), I would guess $2k-$5k. Best bet for a quick sale is to take it to a British car show with a "best offer" sign on it. Good Luck!!

It depends on the condition. You should check out the MG Drivers Club - it's probably the best bet for you to price the car properly and it provides a newwork to sell your '68 MGB.

What it is worth is really 'what will someone pay for it'?

To find out my suggestion is to see what sold on eBay.

Go there and do a search for your car.. use the 'completed sales' option in the search and you will see what people are actually willing to pay (dont forget to add on transportation estimates.

It's a 40 year old vehicle, without any standard worth. So it's worth would be whatever you think it's worth that someone would be willing to pay.

it always depends on what some one is willing to pay.

list it in the paper and put "serious inquieries only"
from there they'll throw a price and bump up from there *grins*
