I own a 2001 nissan frontier crew cab model with 58K miles. I want to trade it in for a brand new or used honda civic hybrid or any kind of hybrid car with less than 58K miles. Where can i go to find more information about this or what kinds of deals could i expect to get at best? Is there such thing as a straight trade with no money paying difference if i traded my truck in for a hybrid that has equally as many miles on it or slighty more?

First go to kbb.com and find out what your truck is worth for trade in, what a dealer sells for, or what you can get selling to a private party. You can figure out what to do, or what position you will be in from there

A trade like this could get complicated since the value of your trade-in is negotiable, and the price of the new car is negotiable. It's a dealer's dream deal -- he can play with the numbers to make it any kind of deal he wants, unless you already know the values of the vehicles. Why don't you make it simple and sell your old vehicle yourself? Keep the two transactions separate and you'll give the dealer less chance to fiddle with it.

You'd never get a straight trade, most dealers only give you $1,000 towards the trade in, so they really screw you, but if you really want the other car, I suppose it's worth it, I would definitely try to sell the car on the street first.
