Ok here's the deal, im 18 yrs old and i currently financed a vehicle with the assistance of my mom. I agreed to pay for the car and most of the insurance. I financed the car with the plan of paying only general liability car insurance. After signing the car from the used car dealer, it came to my knowledge that i will have to get FULL coverage auto insurance. The reason behind this is because i need to protect the auto loan that i got to finance the vechicle. It is impossible for me to pay for full coverage of this vehicle as i called for a qoute and learned that i would have to pay an insane 300-400 a month. I dont know what to do, im going back to the dealer to explain the situation and hope he will be willing to get the car back. If the dealer wont agree to get it back, what are my options? Can i sell the car privately and pay off the loan with the money i get from selling it? My goal is to just buy a really cheap car straight up and only pay for general liability insurance. Help!

Yet another random question...
Why is it that older cars make quite a bit of noise, even when they were new, yet newer model cars are very quiet, sometimes even unnoticeable?

I am planing to buy an 1999 Ford F150 Ext Cab with 4x4, XLT or Larient Trim. I have $8-$12K to spend, i'd prefer to buy it at around 8K. The truck will have around 100-140K miles. I am looking for a reliable truck that will be able to do everything. Is this truck a good choice for the millage that it has? Also, can you guys give me some tips to check out when I go for a test drive/check out the truck. I have consumer reports and have been looking at various Ford websites for tips, but I would like to see what you guys have to say from your experiences. Is it worth it to get the 5.4L V8 over the smaller, one because of similar gas millage? I don't plan to haul trailers. I plan to use the truck as an everyday driver and also road trips across a couple of states. What are some common problems these trucks experience at the stated millage? What are some red flags to look out for?
Thanks.

I'm in need of a vehicle asap but a lil strapped for cash. Would getting a credit card and purchasing and a car between $1 - 2000 be smart if I can pay off pretty soon. I'm close to saving what I need but the rate I'm going at it is not fast enough for when I need the car so I figure I could take what I'm saving and just pay the card off plus whatever extra and never touch the card again, or pay min. and build credit. Any advice?

im buying my first car (im 17)this spring and have been shopping around for different deals. Ideally i would like something with all wheel drive because of my job in winter (i work for a snow removal company and the time i go to work the streets arent clean....im supplied with a truck when i get there). i can live without it however. anyway my dilema is this should i buy a 4wd 1992 chevy K1500 crew cab for $3500 CDN or a 2006 chevy cobalt for $59 CDN a week for almost 5 years or a chevy aveo/ pontiac pursuit for about $165CDN a month for 2 years (lease)

I currently own a Jeep, but I think I need a little more room. I love trucks and I am comfortable with driving them, but as a girl I am not sure if it would be the best transportation for me. What do you think???
