Repair estimates for repairing the Dodge Grand Caravan air conditioner range $800/1200. Is there a used car buyer's market for a trade with this defect?

Of course it is worth less!!! Would you want to buy a Dodge Caravan without A/C????????

You would either have to fix the air conditioning
or accept a loss in the value of about $2000 because no one knows exactly what needs to be done to the air to fix it (it might only need a compressor and freon, or It may need 5 or 6 major parts and the freon)
