Buying & Selling - February 2007

I live in Ontario. I want to sell my car. How do I go about doing that? I have a 2001 HONDA CRV, AWD, with 151,000 clicks on it... what would be an adequate asking price? I know that they have a high buy back. Everything in this car is running smoothly, I just put in new breaks and new tires. Other features: standard, stereo, pwr locks and windows. Does anyone have any experience in this and what do I do to have a successful sale without any dealers?

We went to the dealership late in the day and by the time we came to a decision the finance guys had gone home. They kept our trade-in, we took the truck (used) home with instructions to come back tomorrow to complete paperwork. Upon getting home and doing some more research on the vehicle, we saw that the rock-bottom price they offered us wasn't a great deal after all. We plan to return it first thing tomorrow morning and tell them we've changed our minds. We have ever right to do this since we've not signed any contracts or given them any money, right? We live in California, will have driven it a total of 20 miles by tomorrow.

After not being happy with a car I bought using cash, I traded it in to a dealership and sighned up for this high intrest car loan and after .... I totally regret my decision, big time, and wish I never acted on my desire for a nice car. I make too much money to file chapter 7 bankruptcy because of the car payment and just really want to keep my income vs paying a bank, and auto insurance company alot of the money I earn by working. Is there a way to break free or am I stuck paying? (of course I am willing to give up the car)

I need something for a tall person that will be within reasonable price for a 21 year old college kid. Hoping it won't be more than 15,000 and that we can possibly negotiate it down with a large downpayment. We are looking at Hondas and Toyotas, any suggestions on dealing with salesmen?

My friend hasn't paid a car note in four-five months. She was having really hard times and really expected them to repo it (which Im sure was a plan at some point) but never was a called received from the finance company to her or any references. She still drives the car. It is on her credit of course, though. She wants to clean her credit and get rid of this car finally, but what should she do. Should she get a lawyer to negotiate taking the car back without affecting her credit? What are the odds? Why haven't they called on their investment. What should she do??
