You can go online to:
www.nadaguides.com
or
www.kbb.com
These are the web-sites for NADA and Kelley Blue Book. Actually, Kelley Blue Book is more accurate information, and as you will find, usually estimates at a lower, more likely value. Car dealers will typically use Kelley Blue Book to buy cars, or take on trade, and use NADA as a guide to sell. This way they can get the cars cheap, and sell them at top dollar. Also, banks use NADA for finance, so they try to sell the car for the maximum amount that the bank will finance.

Ignore the KBB or NADA suggestions by the dumb yanks athat dont realise there is life outside USA. parkers do valuations but are most of the time well out.
The motor trade use CAP or Glass for their valuations which is far more accurate but only available to the trade.
Have a look at what similar cars are going for near you and use that as a guide.

Yes there are, but you may as well not bother. it depends on the condition inside and out of your car, tyre depths, colour, accessories, scratches/dents/chips, and a car is only worth what someone will pay for it. The value you get in p/x is completely different to the value for private sale. Any dealer has a margin of haggling, but every car will differ in this value.

Go to www.autotrader.co.uk
There's a section where you can put your details in and they'll give you the trade-in or private sale price.
