you may think because your learning in a small car that's all you can drive because of its size the Picasso is a great family car and after a couple of weeks of driving it you'll think you've being driving it all your life go for it and good luck with your test

From a safety stand point: For a family of 5 get the bigger car. It is safer because of it's size in case you get in a wreck. It is also safer because you are not going to be all crammed in like sardines. It is also safer because your kids will be more comfortable so they won't be distracting you screaming and crying.
Good Luck on you test. Don't freeze up.

Why not go for a Vauxhall Astra mid size car with good space, they are also quite low on insurance with the 1.4 engine being group 4.

trust me with 3 in the back you want to be looking a bit bigger like the peugeot 406 or ford mondeo because kids grow as for the size issue you will find that it is easy to adapt to a slightly larger vehicle
