How can I trade in my vehicle for something cheaper? I owe more than it is worth and I want to buy something older. I found what I wanted, but I want to be able to know that I am going to be able to trade or sell the vehicle I have now in adequate time. Any ideas on a more efficient way to sell my vehicle or how to trade for something that is cheaper than what I owe on my truck? ANy car dealers out there willing to answer this question?

Ok here is my problem: We own a 2001 alero, 1966 Valiant, and we just bought a 2003 Satun L300 Station wagon, We owe about 2000 on the alero. The Valiant runs, is in good shape, needs some brake work, and has a oil leak (engine needs new gaskets). With other little things we could spend about a $1000 and the car would be in GREAT shape. But we never have the money, BUT I don't want to let the car sit and rot, AND it was my first car and I don't want to sell it. BUT like I said I never have the extra cash to sink into it. Any advice, ideas, adecdotes anything to give me an idea whether to keep the car to someday work on it or sell it. It's like a white elephant in the room, what to do with it? THANKS!!

Hi, I am a architecture college student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am a very motivated individual and I want to start my own car dealership. I feel that school is holding me back from starting my own business. Someone told me that without a four year degree people would not take me seriously but I really don’t see why they wouldn’t. So I guess my question is if I should follow my instinct and start my own car dealership without the four year degree. If there are any people out there that own their dealership where should I start?

I wouldn't have to put down any money, does this mean that they interest rate would be grossly inflatted? I didn't want to continue to talk to the car sales men because as you know they type of approach they take in customer assitance in the favor of themselves covered with speacial offers with all types of strings attactched and small print. What type of advice would you give a first time buyer like myself?

I am in the market to purchase a used Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry. My current vehicle is a 94 Toyota Landcruiser but I am looking to downgrade as my commute to work and current gas mileage just do not agree. I have leased Honda Accords before 96 Accord EX, and 98 Accord EX Coupe. I never had a problem with my Accords (except for the reacall on the 98) but that was years ago.

I would like to know from peoples experience and personal knowledge what if any problems or reacalls they are aware of in Accords and Camrys between the years 1994-2004. Particularly, if there are any model years that I should stay away from.

Volvo, Pontiac, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz, together with other European car manufacturers already build some models with automatic convertible hardtops. These models automatically separate the metal hardtop and rear window into three or four sections and then stow these sections on top of each other into the trunk. The entire mechanism is controlled by electrical motors in the system.

I haven't got many of the details but my neice just bought a car (yesterday) from a used car dealer and the car has already broke down. Can she return the car and get out of the deal or is she stuck with the piece of junk?

Last night I put a down payment on a certified used pontiac. However, the deal is not complete since I need to get my own insurance and they need to shop around for a bank to give me a loan. Looking at my finances though, I dont't think I can afford this car and want to cancel the deal. Can I do this?

New or used.

So do you buy brand new and change every year? Do you ever actually own the car or is this effectively renting...

Buy nearly new to avoid heavy initial losses...

Just lease a car, you get maintenance covered.

Total cost of ownership when considering running costs is not straightforwards, e.g a french car needs half as many services as a jap car...

Lots to consider..
