You're going to get a car that will outlast most 3rd world nations either way, but Hondas are known for better interior materials, fit and finish. See: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/10245/mid-size-four-door-sedans.html
Honda: 1st Place... Toyota: Dead Last
Or you could really go crazy and buy American, but how American would that be?

As far as Toyota Camrys or Honda Accords go, you cannot go wrong with either of them. Personally I drive a 91 Toyota Camry and you know what, it has 228k miles on it and it still runs great. My girlfriend drives a 98 Honda Accord and it just drives wonderfully without any big problems. All I have had to do with both of them is maintenance work. The cars won't give you any serious problems. They both rank close, if not the highest in reliability.

My dad bought me a used Honda Accord for graduation. It is a 1997 Honda and my husband now drives it and we haven't had any problems with it. It now has 190,000 miles on it. I would reccomend a Honda Accord to anyone. It is also great on gas!!

Hondas...I am in the market as well and I have my eye on a 2000 Black Accord. They are great cars....Both are good vehicles...Nissans, Toyotas and Hondas are good!
Goodluck!

Go for the must recent model... You can afford...
That will make your investment live longer... Both brands I mean Toyota and Honda are really good ones... So your selection is smart.

both great cars that will last for as long as you want them too.
Camry: more comfortable and nicer ride in my opinion. the accord just has too much sport tuning in the suspension for my tastes.
