It's 15 years old and will cost you a fortune if/when it breaks down. Make sure you consider the cost of repairs and maint. when getting a car. Personally, I'd look for a Japanese car - they're more reliable and cheaper to fix.

The previous posters are right. Buying any 16+ year old car will undoubtedly cost a fortune in repairs and maintenance. Add this to the fact that it is a Mercedes and the repairs will cost even more.

My mother in law HAD to buy a 5 year old Mercedes with 70,000 miles on it because she thought it was a great deal. Despite my objections, she purchased it anyway. In 3 months she has had to take it to the dealership twice. I don't remember the first problem but the second time the car stalled on the road. It cost $600 to fix. She has also had to replace the tires at an unknown cost, so in the last three months alone she has had to spend more money to maintain the car than she has spent on her monthly car payments.

I agree with first responder. Another thing to worry about is the cost of insurance. A small car will be much cheaper to insure than a large Mercedes; talk to your insurance agent before you buy anything.

yeah Go with the first answer. That Merc will cost you a ton to keep running. you'd be much better off w/ a Japanese car, cheap on gas and gets you where you need to go, and easy to fix yourself. Either that or Find a 92+ Jeep, not as good on milage, but it'll go wherewever and whenever you want to go. easy to fix and a bizillion aftermarket parts too. I guess it depends on where you live and how much $ you have.

Nice status symbol...and that's all. Cost a fortune to buy and run,and the parts would have to be ordered...long wait and expense. Settle for a skateboard !
