I currently have a 2000 Toyota Corrolla that I bought used just last year from the Toyota Dealership. (It's my 3rd Corrolla that I have bought) Unlike my other Corrollas thought it has not been a great car. Right now the trade in value is $5000 and we owe $8000 because we just had to put a new block in at 65000 miles. I drove a 2006 Corrolla rental and I liked it. I had a little more room than mine does. Basically, I am looking for a good car/small SUV for under $20,000 that get at least 30 miles highway or city a gallon and has a little bit of room in the back. I will probably trade the car I have in now in 2 years and the next car I would like to keep for at least 10 years. Does anyone have any suggestions that would meet what I am looking for?

I am planning to buy a small-size car and I have no expertise in field. What should I watch for, what brands to prefer over each other? Looking for something that will not cost me a lot on repairs. (matrix, rio, focus, etc)
Thanks.

I have forwarded your vehicle information to my client
and after evaluation and due to time constraint on the
fact that we are runningshort of time. I'm delighted
to tell you that my client has recommended your
vehicle, with full interest and he has instructed me
to carry on with his transaction. He also instructed me to inform you that payment will get to you in a cashier check of ($13,500) which is a refund payment of a cancelled order earlier made by my
client. Due to company policy this check has to be made out in this amount to you, Because company policy only allows a refund payment on one cashier cheque. So you are required to deduct the cost of your vehicle car ($6,500) when payment gets to you and refund balance ($7,000) to the Agent ( our shipper ) for him to
be able to offset shipping & tax charges, and other
cosmetic repair costs. After payment has reached you and balance sent to shipper, the shipper's agent will come for inspection, and drive to a prepaid shipper

Yahoo friends: Any dealers out there willing to give up a secret? What source do dealers use to value someone's trade-in? Someone told me to throw Kelly Blue Book out the door, that there's some kind of auction website that tells the dealer what the current price of a vehicle is at auction. Is this true?

My old car needs some major repairs so I'm buying a new one. You can't tell what's wrong with it unless you've been driving it for about 10 minutes, but it's a real mess.
I was planning to sell it individually and deduct from the asking price for repairs needed
However, the guys at work say I should trade it in at a dealership and not tell them about the repairs needed. "They plan to screw you, so you go ahead and screw them too!"
Should I do it? It feels so dishonest!

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus with 148,000 miles (from the divorce) and my kids are insisting that I get out of it. I have a big dog and a bike and I am thinking about getting a pickup. I have driven a Ford Ranger, but it seems to small. I can't afford much right now, so what should I be looking for? I would love a 4-door F-150. Any suggestions? I wouldn't be hauling much but the big lab dog and my bike, but can't do either with my car. Of course, tags, taxes and insurance are considerations also.

Hi, my wife and I'm buying an used SUV and need your advice.
We are looking at
1. 2004 mercury mountaineer 19k &
2. 2001 acura mdx 58k
many people said an Acura is real good car and I like the style.
but Mercury is better on its mileage and age.
which one will you pick?

A few days ago, I found a Jeep that I want and called my husband to see what his thoughts were. He told me to go drive it and get back to him. Well, yesterday we went and gave them all our information, now he is really not into getting this Jeep. What can I do to convince him to get it?
