I thought that I would add that it is in GREAT condition, and it is mostly highway miles from his driving from oregon to california and back.. also he just put new tires on it and says that he had 100,000 mile check up or service, i can't remember which it is.

Yeah, pretty sweet deal. Kelly Blue Book says the 2003 Toyota Camry LE Sedan 4D at 100,000 miles goes for in a private party sale about this much depending on the condition:
Condition-------Value
Excellent------$9,885
Good-----------$9,025
Fair-------------$7,955
I noticed some people say your dad should just give you the car and I say that's wrong. Once you're a grown up your parents don't owe you anything, least of all a car.
It sounds like your parents taught you that the idea of "giving" is no better than the idea of stealing or begging. Instead you learned that anything you want in life you have to earn. The products of your mind and your hard work is the only worth you have, where self-esteem comes from, where happiness is found, how money is made, and how society is best run for the sake of everyone equally, not by force, but by fair trade.

I think your dad is offering a very good deal to those who can
buy the 2003 Toyota Camry LE for 6,000 dollars. In the car
market, the 2003 Camry fetches at least 8,500.00 dollars, if its
condition is very good. Undoubtly, your dad's Camry is good
and reliable although it has done 100,000 miles.
Why can't you take over your dad's Camry? It's a waste to
sell it off especially it's a good car.

Sounds like a sweet deal. The miles are high, but with that many miles in a short period of time it's mostly highway miles which are not nearly as hard on a car. If it's been maintained properly, go for it!
Camrys are damn good cars. One of the top mid-size sedans on the road for many years.

Honest, I think that you should pay a bit less. This is family and that is very high miles. Toyota's are good cars but, with that high of miles on it and that age of car... It had to be driven hard. Parts are going to cost a pretty penny because it's a foreign car.
Excellent
$7,875
Good
$7,165
Fair
$5,915
This is trade in on it through kelly blue book.
Your dad is giving you a good deal but, think about the other expences that go along with it. Does it need new tires ??? oil change? When you go to trade this car in 100k miles does not get you much of anything on trade in.

He is giving you a pretty sweet deal and is trying to show you some responsibility thats what parents are for if you like it take the deal if not have him go to a dealership with you a pick out something you like for the same price. You will not find anything close to the quality and reliability as the camry but its your choice.

I definitely think you should not accept the offer. Surely you should know that buying an old car is not the fashion now. I think you should buy a Mustang instead as it is just the car for you. Although I don't know you but I have PHYSIC powers and I can feel that it is the right car for you. Just imagine, having the top off and enjoying the sun. I am sure your friends will be very jealous of you.
