toyota tacoma. the f-150's resale value is off the charts pathetic, trust me, I know cuz I can't trade mine due to the negative equity. I wish I'd have bought the toyota when I had the chance.

It depends on what you need in a truck. A Ford F150 or Toyota Tacoma is your best bet if you just need a 4WD vehicle with a tailgate. Look at GMC trucks if you want something a little more heavy duty or a Ford F250.

The number behind the name of the vehicle, for example Ford "F250" or Chevrolet "3500" goes up depending on the weight of what you're hauling or towing. If you're not towing or hauling anything crazy heavy, stick with the lower numbers F150 or Chevy 1500, Nissan Frontier, Tacoma

The Honda Ridgeline is really nice, it rides like a car but isn't made for any kind of "real" work, towing or hauling. It couldn't even realistically tow a loaded Civic.

The Nissan Titan is super nice, but pricey. Bling freakin bling.

Toyota Tacoma and Ford F150 are my suggestions.

You waited too long all the deals are gone on 2006, you can buy used. Better question is what kind of truck do you need?

ford f-150 is the best selling pickup truck in the market

Toyota Tundra...had one, put 70,000 miles on it, didnt do anything to it but put gas in it, traded it in, got $16,000 on another new 2005 model. Have owned other brands, but wouldnt but anything but Toyota...cant be beat.
