I live in Los Angeles and only have 37,000 miles on my car (Saab 9-3). Everytime I come in to get my break pads changed, they tell me I need new roters.
I've already changed them once.
Is it possible they're lying about having to change them again?
This seems a bit excessive to me.

I took my wifes car out for a drive last night and slammed right into the back of a Brand New Honda NSX, which in turn slammed into a newish BMW that was infront of it.

The insurance on my car covers me driving other peoples cars, and my wife has one of those open driver policies which covers anyone driving her car.

When I called my insurance company this morning, they wont cover me driving my wifes car because of the open driver policy, they said the third party extension is only valid if i am not covered by any other insurance

When my wife called her insurance company, they said they wouldnt cover me because of the third party extension and the open driver policy is only valid if the driver isnt covered by any other insurance.

What can I do? Because I cant afford to fix those cars.

Also, does Sun Tracker really have a no haggle policy? If it says $12,000 does really mean that is what I am going to pay for it?

I just bought the new CR-V (Honda) and got an AT car for the first time. I always use "D" when I drive but my bf said using 2 and 1 would be better. When would I use them? What difference does it make? Can I save gas using them?

Don't you think if everyone would go maybe two days without buying any gas that this would hurt the gas companies and maybe lower gas prices?

I was recently pulled over by a cop for unsafe lane change. I disagree with the ticket. I just want to know the criteria or examples that signify unsafe lane change. If you have a website that states the criteria that would be great!

In all the cars I have ever owned, the turn signal has made an annoying loud clicking noise that can be heard even over the radio. Are there any cars out there for which this is not the case? There was this SUV on the freeway this morning with their turn signal on for miles. It reminded me of all the times I have seen this. I hate these people, they are so dangerous, because the surrounding cars don't know what to do and get all confused. Just when you think the signal is on by mistake, they could jerk in front of you and cause an accident. But given that it was on for miles this time, I think it was a mistake. But how on earth is that possible? Are deaf people allowed to drive?

Its definitely not a bulb... its both signals, and they went gradually, they will now each flick on for a second or two then go off. Could this be a fuse or something.....?

I need help/advice on what's wrong with my car ASAP!!!!

I was driving to school and everything was fine. Then, as I'm almost there, my battery light pops on and my steering wheel gets extremely tight and I can't hardly turn it.

I have only a minor leak in my coolant, and either my leak just went from bad to worse or there's something else horribly wrong with it.

Let's just say there is no way I'm getting home from school lol

When I turned my car off, it smelled like something was burning.

Please help!!!!!!!

According to the FAA website, one can pass a physical as long as they are able to distinguish the "colors necessary in the performance of an airman's duty." If one can do this, if they are clinically colorblind but can clearly distinguish green and red (the colors of beacons) could they be a pilot?

For years, back in the late seventies, Toyota made a better
car than the US did, but that all ended years ago, now Ford
and GM and Chrysler have as many good cars as Toyota.
In fact, some of the GM and Ford cars have surpassed
Toyota in quality, gas mileage, and long life, yet Americans
continue to buy Jap cars due to the hype.
The Toyota Camry gets the EXACT same gas mileage as
a new Tahoe. GM has 19 cars that get over 30 MPG, Toyota has only 9.
And the Toyota trucks have LOWER MPG than American
trucks, the new Tacoma had 100,000 of the 135,000
that were sold RECALLED for torque converter problems,
they pull NOWHERE near the capacity that they advertise,
and they are butt ugly.

I have a 2000 VW Beetle...it has recently started giving me problems and we are trying to figure out what we are dealing with. The car shuts off everytime I stop at a red light, stop sign, slow down to make a turn...etc. anytime im idoling. well when it shuts off, the battery is dead and has to be charged/jumped off to get the car on again. We assumed (because of the symptoms) that it was the battery...had the battery checked, it was very low, charged it...then the mechanic told me it was fine...it had gotten up to 12 volts. Well.....he told me maybe it was the alternator....checked the alternator....no problem there. So now the car wont crank at all....battery is dead. Anyone who knows about cars....is this a battery problem...or do you know of anything else that could be causing the battery to get so weak it wont even crank now. (I'm just curious as to what I'm dealing with as far as costs are concerned) Thanks!
