I need help/advice on what's wrong with my car ASAP!!!!

I was driving to school and everything was fine. Then, as I'm almost there, my battery light pops on and my steering wheel gets extremely tight and I can't hardly turn it.

I have only a minor leak in my coolant, and either my leak just went from bad to worse or there's something else horribly wrong with it.

Let's just say there is no way I'm getting home from school lol

When I turned my car off, it smelled like something was burning.

Please help!!!!!!!

We've already have to put in at least $800 so far for this car and it still needs about $500+ put into it.

When the serpentine belt fails, you will loose both the alternator and the power steering. Seeing as you said the you have been losing coolant, I would bet that your water pump failed entirely, and that caused the belt (which also drives the water pump to come loose!

Look under the hood and you will see the belt is off! Have the car towed, and repaired. Most likely you will need a water pump and a new belt! Have them check the belt tensioner also, as they do have a tendency to go bad!

Obviously the belt came off. There's a belt out there that turns a bunch of small components mounted on your engine. The alternator and the power steering are both operated by this belt, and that's why you lost power steering.

It's cheap and simple, and easy to get to. No big deal. When you replace it, you need to think about why it came off. It may have just been old. If the new one comes off too, then you'll need to not just think about it, you'll need to successfully identify the root problem.

Sounds like a belt snapped, possibly the waterpump may have let loose.
