well it depends on tire size but if your tires are under 31" ..
a 3.55-1 gear should work well

The higher (2:1 is higher than 3:1) the rear axle gear ratio, the better the fuel economy... up to a point. You want the axle ratio that allows the engine to run at its most efficient RPM at highway speeds. This also involves the gear ratios of your transmission. An overdrive transmission will use a different ratio than a straight drive trans. Also, ratios are frequently different for automatic and manual transmissions.

You need to look at the whole package before determining which will work best for you.

The lower the number the lower the fuel consumption. To lower your RPM's at higway speed, GM has a 3.42 and a 3.23. Both of these would improve mileage.

the smaller the ratio, the better gas mileage you'll get on the highway. But your performance will suffer.

Anything with a lower axle ratio, say 3.41 or 2.73.

3.73 gives you better gas mileage. 4.10 gives you more pulling power.
