Will any train services be running on 26th dec even if its bank holiday?

Traditionally very few trains run on Boxing day (26th Dec) and those that do tend to be the airport links in SE England. So forget Nottingham to London by rail. National Express coaches will run but you need to book to get a place.

No there are no trains running from Nottingham on the 26th December. I have just checked on our systems as I thought that there might be a limited service, but the whole network is closed....Its the perfect time for Network Rail to get essential maintenance completed like bridge replacements that can only be done when the network is closed & Boxing day ther is only a few people who venture out so we close the network for the major repair works.

There will be no trains on this route on December 26th. They
re-start on December 27th. Very few train services will run on December 26th apart from those serving some of the major airports.

There are no trains at all from Nottingham to London on 26 December (Boxing Day). I had a look at national rail enquiries and it told me to travel early on the 27th! National Express coaches, however, have 8 journeys throughout the day from 6am to 5.30pm.

No. Christmas is a major religious festival in the UK. If I had my way, everything would shut down for the entire twelve days.
