My air conditioning pump froze up and broke the surpentine belt. I had a mechanic replace the pump and belt. My question is what do I need to do to get it recharged . Also how do I plug the pump 's electrical plug back in. The mechanic said he unplugged it . I would like to save money and recharge it myself . if possible

Will using a different ratio of Water and Antifreeze help deal with cooling problems?

I have a 99 Dodge Dakota that overheats on long drives and hot days with the A/C on. I've had the thermostat, fanclutch, and belts replaced. It has boiled over on me 4 times in the last month, and I have always refilled with water only. I've also back-flushed the system and ran a radiator cleaner through. I'm willing to try anything before completely replacing the radiator.

Does the antifreeze/coolant solution provide better cooling abilities that water? Would using a 50/50 water to antifreeze ratio help control heat better than a 85-water/15-antifreeze ratio? I'll obviously go back to 50/50 before the winter, but I want to use the best solution for the hot summer months.

When I drive my 01 Nissal Altima I am hearing 'Pat Pat Pat....' sound from driver side front tires. I check the pressure regularly but have never found below 31.5. When I check the tires and air the sound is not heard for few minutes (10-15 minutes) and I start to hear the sound again mildy which goes on increase as time goes on, Checked the tire but could not find any defects-like nails...What could be the problem

I have a 2002 bmw 525i. When the car is on second position I hear almost like a bird chirping from the glove back ever 10 to 15 seconds. I think it is a relay that is getting stuck but I have no idea where the relay box would be on my car.

In a certain flight crew, the positions of pilot, copilot and flight engineer are held by Peter, Harry and Frodo, though not necessarily in that order. The copilot, who is an only child, earns the least. Frodo, who married to Harry's sister, earns more than the pilot.

I know it can't be good for the car, but if you're backing up and you're ready to go forward and you go right from reverse to drive while the car is still backing up (not accelerating until you're in drive of course) what kind of effects will you see? does it hurt it every time, or just in the long run?

I have a 1991 jeep Cherokee 4WD and my CV joints are starting to go up front, i think, from the "clickity-clack" sound that I hear constantly now. I was just wondering if it is safe to drive around with that or should I get them fixed ASAP, or will this only effect my four wheel drive capabilities? I am a poor college student :(

Thanks in advance.
