What do call the thing that you put down to block the sun from your eyes while your driving? Both the driver and passenger side have it. I always called it a shade, but is that the actual term?

Thanks

It passed 3 of 4 tests, but limit is 220 ppm and mine showed around 350 at idle. Every mechanic I've been to seems like a ripoff. There is no visible smoke. Ideas? I'd at least like to know if the mechanic is trying to be honest.

What's the best way to get a good deal on a used car? Should I go to a Car Auction, check out Car max, AutoTrader, etc? Which one gives a really good deal?

I have a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV. Yesterday I was driving on the pipeline at about 45mph and I heard a clunk that sounded like a rock had hit the undercarrage of the ATV. I stoped a few hundred feet ahead to check everything out and make sure I had not damaged anything. I wasn't touching the gas but the ATV was still moving. I had to hold the break to stop it. Then it stalled. When I started it, it would go into gear very hard. When it did go into gear it would move on its own without me pressing the gas and it would stall out after a few seconds. When I did go the ATV would only go about 10mph and rev really high(kinda like it was stuck in first gear, but its an automattic it has no gears). A friend said its probably my belt or clutch. Anyone have the same problems?

I found it a few yrs ago but I no longer can. It's a bunch of hondas going down the street and in the background are people making them sound like little imports. It's funny and if anyone could help me I would appreciate it. I've searched the internet but to no avail. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I have a 93 GMC Safari XT van, and one of the idler arms are worn out. I know i need a 2 jaw puller to do the job myself, but i never replaced steering parts besides ball joints in 2 Buick Centurys before. Is this a hard job? The manual doesnt say anything about alignments after the job, but is it nessesary? I looked underneath the van, and it doesnt look hard to replace the worn arm.

what would you be willing to pay? What would your expectations be?

I ask this because I am attempting to run a part time business mainly off of referals from associates. I've already negotiated numerous deals for people for free, because I know them... and my past car sales experience helps me with obtaining great deals. So now I turn to you guys and gals... Here is my thought.
I would remove the annoying car salesman and Finance people from the situation. You arrange for financing, or I can through the dealership. You get to sit at home and relax, or sit at work and take care of more important things. For a reasonable fee (I'm still working on it), I would be willing to find the specified car (or one that meets your requirements), negotiate the best possible price (obviously it has to be good, or I'm simply wasting my time if you turn it down), and then bring the paperwork to you (at work, home, at the kids little league game?) for you to sign. Then you take delivery. Cost?!

"Hemi" to me brings an image of raw power. With Chrysler/Dodge advertising the HEMI engine in their newer car's...I wonder if they are better and faster than the fabled Hemi's of yesteryear.

I'm looking to buy a used car and in the description for the convertible it says: "hydrolic for top doesnt work but it does go up and down." I'm pretty not-smart when it comes to cars so what does this mean? If you can help, I really appreciate it!
