I belive the gas prices will indeed reach $4 a gallon by the end of the year. However, I cannot be 100% sure because gas prices are effected by so many things expecially by the war we are currently fighting.
There are some places in the United States that have already seen gas prices peaking at more then $4 per gallon. With the gas lines in Alaska having problems, we depend on getting our oil from other locations, mostly Iraq. Gas prices will never be stable until the war in Iraq is over.

I think there's a real chance, yes, but thankfully the Gulf hurricane season has been no problem. The BP spill up in Alaska is going to cause some price increases in 4 to 8 weeks though as the shortages work their way through the system. That's my best guess.

I don't know if gas prices will go any higher, but people are already beginning to modify their behavior. People are driving less often, and less far. There are even new businesses popping up that help releave the stress of high gas prices. For example, http://www.ridester.com is a national intercity rideshare service that allows drivers to sell excess passenger space to riders in a feedback rated community. Many more people are also using http://www.craigslist.com to share rides between cities.

all the gas organizations and automobile manufacturers could be in good. the vast gas organizations develop the cost of gas even as they sense like it. automobile manufacturers can construct automobiles that get extra constructive miles to the gallon even as regulations are handed affirming their motorized vehicle could exceed a particular MPG. So this tells me that the gas organizations could be regulated to be able to't develop the cost of gas even as they sense it mandatory in the course of the holidays and summer season holiday/holiday situations. it may be tremendous if all of us could have the funds for a hybrid motorized vehicle which could get 50+ miles in accordance to gallon. electric powered automobiles were being construct back contained in the early to late 60's yet a particular huge money automobile organization bought the technologies and for decades not something befell with that technologies. So, it relies upon who's controlling what. contained in the united states, in case you acquire a lot $$$, and would impact someone, you could have it your way. this is the truth and that is my 2 cents.

I doubt it but it will get pretty darn close, people have to remember that the gas prices have not gone up that much. If they were to raise with inflation and the cost of living we would be paying what the Europeans pay (I think its like 4 bucks per quart, don't quote me on that) but its alot higher there. So keep on driving those Hummers and Yukon XL's America! don't worry, oil will last FOREVER!!

Probably not. And gas likely will not go to $2.00 a gallon again but will eventually reach $5.00.
